Residential Services – ICF

Mount Aloysius was built and dedicated in 1985 as an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID). Mount Aloysius serves 80 adult residents. We have 72 residents in the main building and also have an 8 bed ICF/IID, GLOW House located at the bottom of the hill.

Mount Aloysius is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors and is licensed and certified by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). Mount Aloysius is located on Tile Plant Road in New Lexington on approximately 160 acres. In the main building, we have ten apartments. Each apartment has four bedrooms and bathrooms, a living area, kitchenette, and study area. The number of individuals living in each apartment varies, but there would never be more than eight individuals living in one apartment. Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work directly with the residents to help them with daily living skills and teach and encourage the residents to live more independently.

At Mount Aloysius we are committed to providing the residents with a wealth of opportunities in a supportive nurturing environment which fosters personal growth. Our goal is to ensure that our residents take the steps necessary to reach their highest potential – so that they may experience the greatest sense of independence.
